Auction works are identified on this website with the hammer icon. All other works are available for sale from 10.30am, Thursday 26th September when the gallery opens to the public.
Auction
The highest bidder shall be the buyer. In the event of any dispute as to the bidding in respect of any lot, that lot may be offered again at the discretion of the auctioneer whose decision shall be absolute and final.
The auctioneer has the right:
1. to refuse any bid
2. to advance the bidding at his absolute discretion
3. to place a reserve on any lot
4. to place a bid or bids on behalf of the seller
5. to withdraw any lot from sale
6. to require a successful bidder to pay forthwith the whole or any part of the purchase price
The auctioneer acts as the agent of the seller and neither he nor the seller shall be responsible for any defects or faults in any lot or for any errors of description or for genuineness or authenticity of any lot and no compensation shall be paid in respect of same.
From the time of lot being sold, such lot will be the responsibility of the buyer. Successful bidders are required to pay for purchases immediately on completion of sale, unless otherwise arranged. Payment to be made by cheque, bank cheque, telegraphic transfer, eftpos or cash.
Each lot shall be paid for and collection arranged within 48 hours of the auction. Failing which the auctioneer and/or the seller shall have the right to any deposit paid by the buyer and to resell the artwork either by public or private sale.

We welcome online sales. Those works not in the auction are for direct sale on a first come first served basis from 10.30am, Thursday 26th September. Please call +64 29 226 0666 or email arte at artenterprise dot org.
Absentee Bids
Absentee bids are also accepted. These bids are made through the auctioneer who will execute to purchase as cheaply as permitted by other bids and reserves, if any. A bidding number is required before making an absentee bid – please contact us and we provide you with a bidding number. Payment
A deposit on the evening and balance following morning is acceptable as long as the goods remain on our premises. We require payment in full or a deposit to be made at the completion of the auction. The deposit must be $1,000 or at least 10% of the purchase amount.
Works remain property of the artist and/or Art Enterprise until paid for in full, and must be paid for with all monies settled before collection.
Eftpos: Available for transactions $2,000 or less which is the banks daily limit. GST: All prices are in New Zeland Dollars (NZD) and include GST
Bank deposits: Please ask for our bank details to be faxed or emailed if you wish to pay by direct debit. Quote the Lot number(s)
Cheques: Accepted by known clients of Art Enterprise or at our discretion. When posting cheques please ensure they are sent to the following address:

Freight & Packing
Art Enterprise will gladly arrange in house or professional packing and international, national or local freight at cost. Please arrange insurance on your items prior to them leaving our premises. In most cases, we can arrange free delivery within the Wellington area.
Artists’ Royalty Resale Rights agreement (RRR)
Art Enterprise use and encourage the artists’ Royalty Resale Rights agreement. This agreement means that 5% of the value of the artwork is paid to the living artist whenever the work is resold.
This is an agreement between the artist and purchaser and signed by both parties. It serves to keep the artist in contact with the work and helps to reward the artist for the hard work of building a career. Our artists have found that most buyers hold onto artworks and therefore the works are rarely sold.

We are growing a list of artists to show and collaborate with and an audience of art lovers. We are not really a gallery, but a ‘more for art than for profit’ publicity enterprise.
We will host exhibitions in gallery environments and link artists with collectors in a direct way that allows for greater dialogue at fun and social events.
From Wellington, we plan to grow a network in Aotearoa New Zealand, and then take our art to the world with artist exchanges, international shows, publishing and collaborations.
